Theory. after luffy ran out of energy because of gear fourth, and doflamingo got back up again, the part with the citizens sacrificing their lives should’ve been cut and instead law should’ve stepped up to defeat doflamingo, and luffy would wake up and find doffy defeated. this would’ve been great as it would’ve completed laws character

Schizochinia • 1 yr. ago. If you’re talking about solely Luffy vs Doflamingo then the reason is because it wasn’t just Luffy’s fight. The fight was primarily Law’s. The only reason Luffy fought Doflamingo was bc Rebecca gave him so food, but Law had an actual vendetta against him.
